Anne Grandin
Using organic shapes to connect earth, sky, land and sea, Anne
depicts the relationship of all life forms to one another.
Nature's rhythms and movements are important, as life is never
still; it's always changing. Anne works in oil paint
on canvas, panel, or constructed forms, using a palette of earth
tones that reflect nature's landscapes.
Influenced by the Circle of Life found in Native American culture,
Anne hopes her work will have a spiritual essence and that anyone
looking at her work can be transported to another level, feel the
piece and react emotionally.
On Structures: Structures are all around us. Man-made objects
reach to the sky, reflects nature's landscape and have a presence
in their existence. In this series, some structures are painted
on canvas; others are structures that have been built.
Some are boxes that open to reveal the "heart" of that which is
painted on the outside. Structures are like humans. On the
outside they can be as cold as a building. The human protects
itself by creating barriers. Only when the "door" is opened do we
see the heart inside, that which represents who the human really
is.

Kate Carleton
Kate’s abstract seascapes and dune series are inspired from the ever-
changing light of the ocean and the sky, the wind on the beach grass,
and the sensual forms of the dunes. She paints “A la Prima” on
the beaches of Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Truro, Wellfleet,
Provincetown, and Duxbury. Kate's work comes from her
memories of walking on the beach, feeling the meditative and calming
influence of the ocean and its ability to make her feel connected to
all things.

Kate Nelson
Painter Kate Nelson is drawn to and moved by the outdoor life. She
often paints in the wild: marsh, beach, bluff, woodland. And though her
images are abstract, usually non-representational, they are infused
with the vitality, the atmosphere, the "sense" of the place where she
stands and paints -- wind whipped, bug bitten and sun scorched; open to
impulse and unconstrained.
"As I paint, I try for my work to be
like good jazz, disciplined, yet free, spare yet full, within a rich
tradition yet achingly personal."

Rick Hoffman
Rick Hoffman's work transends reality. Using the
periodic table, each piece is reminiscent of a compound found in
the human spirit. After gazing at the work, one is truly
transported feeling the new color
vibration. This
atmosphere encapsulates the deeply invisible - those subtle
colors that lay beneath skin, bones and blood. In
other words, the work depicts the essence of
the spiritual human. Hoffman is ahead of his time painting
images that vibrate. He has captured the invisible
by using lines to delinate the various levels. Rick
paints beneath and through the surface and into each seperate and
individual molecule or floating atom that make up existence. By
using layers and layers of oil paint, these paintings substantiate
alternative realities.l

Ron Hall
Ron Hall's photography focuses on light - and how light can change
familiar settings and effuse them with feelings of transiency. This
collection of photographs taken almost always between dusk and dawn
create a feeling that the light could change in an instant. Familiar
surroundings become somehow mystical - almost haunted. They are places
we know, yet disturbingly almost ominously calm. For all the visual
power the image appears to possess, we somehow sense that it may be
gone in a moment.
